Das Forschungskolloquium Informationswissenschaft richtet sich an alle Hochschulangehörigen (Professoren, Mitarbeiter, Studierende) sowie an externe Teilnehmer, die an den Arbeits- und Forschungsbereichen des Instituts für Informationswissenschaft Interesse haben. Ziel des Kolloquiums ist es, aus aktuellen Forschungsvorhaben, Projekten oder Kooperationen zu berichten.

Abstract: Medicine has a high affinity to evaluate performance with quantitative methods and using these metrics in the processes of decision-making and controlling. The presented BMBF joint research project QuaMedFo "Quality measures of medical research" (in german: "Qualitätsmaße zur Evaluierung medizinischer Forschung") deals mainly with methods for measuring research performance. One method is measurement of knowledge transfer. Patents
are an important indicator for the knowledge transfer from research to economy.
This talk has a closer look on the connection between patents and publications (or scientists respectively), the technical approach and first results are presented.
