H2Brasil
The H2Brazil project aims to improve the legal, institutional and technological conditions for the development of a green hydrogen (H2) economy in Brazil. This objective is pursued through five key components: structuring conditions, dissemination, innovation, market expansion and vocational training.
Regarding the vocational training component, a collaborative team consisting of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (TH Köln), the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI), and Federal Institutes as Universities in Brazil, is dedicated to establishing a network of experts in the domains H2 production, storage, logistics, safety, and applications. In addition to provide a range of courses with various levels of expertise, from introductory programs to advanced postgraduate training. In particular, the courses covered are in the fields of green H2, energy storage and digital energy. To ultimately contribute to the development of a green H2 economy in Brazil by providing a qualified and capable workforce.
Furthermore, in this context, GIZ and the TH Köln are organising a one-week technical excursion to Germany for coordinators and professors from partner institutions in Brazil. The objective is to deepen the knowledge of new developments in the field of green H2, expand their professional networks, and to highlight the synergy between vocational study and higher education in Germany. The visit is planned for September 11th to 15th, 2023, and will include visits to renowned companies and recognized educational institutions. Additionally, it will feature workshops and further training sessions.
Objective
The project objective is to support Brazilian Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions (TVET) in the introduction of a Green H2 and Power-to-X (PtX) program according to the demands of Brazilian Market.
The objective is to deepening the knowledge of new developments in the field of green H2, expand their professional networks, and to highlight the synergy between vocational study and higher education in Germany.
