Become a COIL-ready educator and bring global collaboration into your classroom.
This blended workshop equips you with the skills, confidence, and practical experience to design and teach international Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) sessions. Through hands-on practice, co-teaching, and asynchronous preparation, you will learn how to build meaningful virtual exchange experiences for your students.
Format & Key Dates
Asynchronous Preparation (Self-paced) (2–16 February)
As a registered participant, your first task is to complete the guided online learning modules covering COIL fundamentals, digital tools, learning outcomes, and activity design. Your second task is to choose a course and outline your COIL idea on Padlet. Both tasks must be completed by 16 February.
Afterward, you will be matched with a co-teacher by 20 February and begin working on your third task: preparing your joint COIL teaching simulation.
Live Online Workshop (30 March, 09:00–12:00 CET)
A highly interactive 3-hour session featuring:
- Teaching simulations in small groups
- Real-time feedback from facilitators
- Parallel breakout rooms for personalised support
- A final plenary reflection to consolidate learning

Who Should Join?
Educators from Pioneer partner institutions who are ready to innovate their teaching and offer students meaningful global learning experiences. Cohort size is limited to 12 participants for optimal interaction and personalised feedback.
