Have you been trying to get your head around concepts such as AI, LLMs, neural networks, weights and biases? Or are you eager to find out about the pros and cons of Computer-Assisted Interpreting and the tools available today? Curious about machine "interpreting", its potential use cases, and how to assess its quality?

Then look no further: AI4terps.org is an e-learning platform on all things AI for interpreters. It is free of charge and open to everyone. Simply register to gain access to more than 70 chapters of self-study material across four modules:

-        AI basics

-        AI for self-study

-        Computer-Assisted Interpreting

-        AI "interpreting"

AI4terps.org is intended for practising interpreters, interpreting students as well as lecturers who wish to integrate the course into their curricula. Each module concludes with a final test and participants receive a certificate upon successful completion.

AI4terps is a project implemented and hosted by Institut für Translation und Mehrsprachige Kommunikation (ITMK) - TH Köln. The project is co-funded by the European Union and has been supported by AIIC - The International Association of Conference Interpreters.

The AI4terps team consist of a core team of four people (Anja Rütten, Magdalena Lindner-Juhnke, Nele Kirstein and Julia Baum) plus four external advisors (Bart Defrancq, Michelle Hof, Bianca Prandi and Karin Reithofer-Winter) whose invaluable support we are very grateful for.

The AI4terps team is looking forward to reading your thoughts in the AI4terps Forum or receiving your feedback through the learner satisfaction survey!
