The online event offered the opportunity to talk to the university management, get to know each other personally, and learn about the offers of TH Köln for postdocs. After a welcome and introductory round, President and project leader Prof. Dr. Stefan Herzig presented the PLan_CV project, which aims to recruit excellent personnel for professorships at TH Köln and to achieve better transferability between science and practice. The acronym "PLan_CV" stands for "Rethinking Professorship Careers at Universities of Applied Sciences: Collaboration and Networking." Prof. Dr. Stefan Herzig explained how collaboration and networking with players in and outside of science are crucial factors for the group of postdocs in their individual career paths.

Subsequently, the president Prof. Dr. Stefan Herzig, and Mirjam Heetkamp from the Graduate Center presented the history and the structure of the central scientific body, which was founded in 2016 for the promotion and support of doctoral researchers, postdocs, and doctoral supervisors. This was followed by a presentation of the current offers for postdocs by Dr. Mareike Fröhling, program coordinator for postdocs in the PLan_CV project.

The participants had a lively discussion about needs and offers for postdocs with Prof. Dr. Stefan Herzig, the contact persons from PLan_CV, the Graduate Center, and the Department for Research and Knowledge Transfer. In order to network the postdocs at TH Köln further and to analyze their needs more precisely, another meeting is planned to follow in person.
