Admission Requirements

Undergraduate degree

Successful applicants to the Master’s program hold an undergraduate degree (at least B.A. or equivalent) in a suitable field, earned at a state or a state-recognized institution of higher education with a final cumulative grade of “satisfactory (3.0)” or better along with the proof of a program-related aptitude. The Examination Board decides on the suitability of the undergraduate degree.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have graduated at the time of application.

Please note: Should a candidate meet these criteria only after the application deadline has passed, his/her application cannot be considered.
International applicants and applicants with foreign degrees obtained outside of Germany please follow the information on admission requirements and German language proficiency.
English language proficiency

Proof of very good English language proficiency:

- TOEFL internet-based (79 points)
- TOEFL computer-based (213 points)
- TOEFL paper-based (550 points)
- IELTS (Band 6)
- Cambridge ESOL: First Certificate in English (FCE)
- TOEIC: (670 points; with the requirement that both tests "Speaking and Writing" and "Listening and Reading" were taken)

Native speakers as well as applicants with a certified Higher Education Entrance Qualification and a university degree (both acquired completely in English) will also be  considered.

Test scores (or other proof of English language proficiency) must be no older than five years and are to be presented at the time of application.

Applicants participate in a selection process. The deciscion will be made by the faculty based on the submitted application.

Applications for the winter semester can be submitted through our Online Application Platform starting in May of each year (subject to change).

You are required to apply to uni-assist.

Applications for the winter semester can be submitted through uni-assist starting in February of each year (subject to change).
