Faculty of Information, Media and Electrical Engineering

The Faculty of Information, Media and Electrical Engineering (IME) is part of Germany's largest University of Applied Sciences. Currently around 2,500 students are enrolled in the nine different degree programs offered by our faculty. During their studies our students gain the expertise as well as the methodical, social and personal skills required to succeed in professional practice, further academic studies or research. Our programs have an increasingly international focus. We consider it our core responsibility to lead young people with an interest in technical and scientific matters to an academic degree.

We are continuously adapting our course content to the current technical developments as well as the demands of the labor market. Especially during the final stages of their program, students have the opportunity to participate in our research and development projects, providing them with valuable practical experience.

We are glad to have long-standing relationships with various companies and institutions in the Cologne region - producing enterprises, service and media companies as well as public institutions.

Cologne is a vibrant city that offers a variety of cultural and leisure-time activities and the nearby destinations for recreation Eifel National Park and the Bergisches Land are easy to reach, even without a car.
