Language Learning Center

Learn languages actively and lively for study, everyday life and work!

The Language Learning Center (SLZ) promotes multilingualism as a central key competence at TH Köln. It offers language learning opportunities for students, university staff and international applicants. In addition to interdisciplinary language courses, faculty-bound language learning courses are also designed in close cooperation with the faculties.

In addition, the Language Learning Center offers language examinations and courses for language lecturers.

European Day of Languages

Celebrate the European Day of Languages with us! At the Council of Europe’s initiative, this special day has been celebrated every year since 2001 on 26 September. This year, the Language Learning Center is organizing various activities and events dedicated to the languages of Europe.

These German language courses are aimed at international students who would like to prepare for the DSH exam.

Language Courses for Students

The Language Learning Center offers a wide range of courses in the following languages: Chinese, English, French, German as a Foreign Language, German Sign Language, Italian, Swedish and Spanish. All language modules and workshops are designed in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Show more
