Preparatory German Language Courses

The preparatory German Language Courses are aimed at international students who would like to begin a course of study at TH Köln. In these intensive courses participants will develop university-specific language skills which will enable them to efficiently prepare for a degree program at a German university.

German Course B1/B2

The intensive course has been designed for international applicants with or without refugee background whose secondary school leaving certificate is recognized as a Higher Education Entrance Qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung – HZB) in Germany. Show more

The study preparation course for German is aimed at international applicants whose secondary school leaving certificate is recognized as a Higher Education Entrance Qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung – HZB) in Germany and who already have completed the language level B2 but still need some improvement in order to begin a course of study at our university. German Language Examination for University Entrance (DSH)

The German Language Examination for University Entrance (DSH) serves as proof of sufficient German language skills for studying at a German university. This proof must be provided by applicants who have not acquired their study qualification at a German-speaking institution. Show more
