Dr Hassan Aboelnga, research associate at the Faculty of Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems, has been appointed Chair of the Water Security Task Force at the International Water Resources Association (IWRA). In this global leadership position, he leads an international network of experts working at the science–policy interface to develop practical, policy-relevant approaches to water security in the context of climate change. Under the leadership of Dr Hassan Aboelnga, IWRA’s focus in the field of water security will shift more strongly toward implementation, financing, and tangible impact.
The meetings of the Faculty Council are generally open to the university public. Personnel and examination matters, as well as justified cases, are dealt with in closed sessions. Guests may attend the public parts of the meetings, provided they have registered at least one week in advance. Please contact the dean or the dean's assistant for this purpose.
