Research fields

  • Circular Economy Selection, optimization and recycling of materials for circular economy
  • Polymer Additives Development and optimization of new fillers and additives for polymers, as well as application-oriented formulation development through the use of suitable additives
  • Development of a new toolmaking technology in fiber casting using adaptive algorithm-driven CAD design and additive manufacturing (AdaptTool)
ZIM cooperation project with Papacks and the engineering company CellCore. The project addresses the development of a new toolmaking technology in fiber casting using adaptive algorithm-controlled CAD design and additive manufacturing. Using a fully digital process and production chain, the aim is to reduce post-processing costs in toolmaking to a minimum in the design phase, reduce dependencies on external suppliers and make existing production processes more economical and productive.
  • Green Solar Modules (GSM)
The aim of the research project is to develop sustainable solar modules, manufacturing and recycling processes and to demonstrate them on a production scale that meet the planned EU regulation on eco-design and energy labels above average. In particular, the following sustainability characteristics are developed: 1. Recyclability and use of secondary raw materials 2. Low material and energy consumption in module production 3. Avoidance of environmentally harmful substances 4. Repairability of the solar panel 5. Increase in annual energy input and module reliability
  • Bike Bioconnect System (BBS) - Development of a highly functional, complementarily coordinated saddle-pants system for triathlon sport
