Scholarships for guest scholars affected by the war against Ukraine

TH Köln is pleased to be able to award scholarships to particularly committed international scholars and university teachers who have fled from Ukraine or who have encountered hard times due to the war against Ukraine. The scholarships are sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funding of the Federal Foreign Office.

Attention:

A prerequisite for sponsorship of scholars is that they do not already have a sponsorship commitment from the Philipp Schwartz Initiative (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation), have applied there or intend to do so, if they are eligible. A declaration by the eligible persons is sufficient for this purpose.

Who can apply for a scholarship?

We accept applications from scholars of any nationality who are affected by the war against Ukraine and who are working as guest scholars at TH Köln.

We take into account the circumstance of flight, financial hardship as a result of the war against Ukraine as well as the difficulty of returning to the respective country.
