New opportunity for international collaboration: Projects at La Salle University, Mexico

Our partner university, La Salle University in Mexico, invites interested teaching staff of TH Köln to participate in Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and Mirror Classes projects.

Both formats offer exciting opportunities to integrate international perspectives into your own teaching and to provide students with virtual international learning experiences.

In the COIL program, participants are paired with a suitable international partner from another university. They work together asynchronously over a period of six weeks on La Salle University's Moodle platform. Weekly assignments support the instructors step by step in developing a joint COIL course. This not only results in a concrete project, but also in a new international teaching collaboration. The course materials remain accessible for a total of three months.

Mirror Classes are based on pairing two teachers to give a virtual guest lecture to students at the partner university. In this way, both sides bring international perspectives to their courses – easily, without barriers, and without additional travel costs.

Participation is free of charge, and La Salle University provides the digital infrastructure and organizational support.
