Content
Writing well in English in academic contexts requires not only a mastery of the language, but also a familiarity with the stylistic and structural conventions of academic texts. This workshop addresses both skill areas for students new to academic writing. We’ll address how to structure a research report and write strong introductions, how to develop coherent paragraphs, and how to employ key stylistic conventions and syntactical constructions of academic writing.
Throughout the workshop, participants will work with authentic student writing samples and have the opportunity to work on their own writing projects.
