It's time again for our digital information event "Café Mondial"! This time as a shorter 2-day format, but of course with all the important information about studying abroad during your studies. Make yourself comfortable with a cup of tea or coffee and get your information "to go".

Monday, 26 February 2024

+ 10 a.m. - 12 noon: Internship abroad + "meet our returnees"

In this event we will provide important information and tips for planning and preparing an internship abroad. In addition, we will give you an overview of the financing options. Finally, IAESTE will introduce itself. The event language is German, but you are welcome to ask your questions or contribute to our discussion in English.

The language of the event will be German and English.

+ Noon - 1 p.m.: Study abroad worldwide + "Introducing the GJU"

In this session you will learn about the different possibilities to spend a semester abroad with a university partner outside the Erasmus area. Furthermore, you will get information about the scholarship programs PROMOS and HAW, as well as the option to organize your semester abroad yourself as a freemover. In addition, students from the German Jordanian University will introduce their university.

+ 10 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.: The chosen ones

This event is aimed at all students starting an Erasmus+ semester abroad from winter semester 2024 onwards. We will explain the process in Mobility Online, responsibilities and go through the section "Before the Mobility" including the Learning Agreement. This way you can go abroad well prepared.

The event language is German, but you are welcome to ask your questions or contribute to our discussion in English.

+ 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Study in Europe + "meet our returnees"

Studying in Europe sounds good - but how? In this session, you will get a short but complete overview of your options. Afterwards, you will have the chance to network and connect with just returned, currently abroad and fellow future outgoing TH students.

+ 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.: Infosession Incomings-Exchange

In this session, we will discuss everything you need to prepare for your stay at TH Köln: from enrolment, semester fees and visa, finding accommodation, to language courses and how to make the most out of your free time. The language of the session is English. However, you are welcome to ask your questions or contribute to our discussion in German.
