12 July 2022 – New publication on European banking market integration
A new paper by GLOBUS director Harald Sander (jointly written with Stefanie Kleimeier) is just published in the prestigious peer-reviewed journal "Economic Modelling". The study scrutinizes European banking market integration after 20 years with the Euro for 12 Eurozone countries before, during and after the Eurozone crisis from 2003 to 2019, employing a novel combination of state-of-the-art network analyses and estimates of bilateral interest rate linkages. It unveils that the Eurozone crisis has fundamentally and persistently disrupted this network beyond the crisis period.
