Admission Requirements

University degree Successful applicants to the Master’s program hold a university degree (Bachelor's degree or higher) in a suitable field, earned at a state or a state-recognized institution of higher education with a final grade of "satisfactory (3.0)" (German grading system) or better. They also need to demonstrate their aptitude for the Master's program. Please read the information sheet for additional information: Applicants must have graduated at the time of application. Please note: Applications by applicants who meet these criteria only after the application deadline will not be considered. |

Applicants with degrees obtained outside of Germany please follow the information on admission requirements and German language skills. |

| English language proficiency
Proof of excellent English language proficiency. The following certificates are accepted: - TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Home: 79 points (at least high-intermediate level in each part) Native English speakers have to prove that English was the language of instruction during their school and university education. Test scores (or other proof of English language proficiency) must be no older than five years and are to be presented at the time of application. |

Applications are submitted through TH Köln's campus management system (CaMS). Applications for the winter semester can be submitted through CaMS from early May (subject to change). Information on the documents which are to be submitted with your application is available in CaMS. |

Application for admission to an advanced semester
| It is possible to apply for admission to an advanced semester, particularly if you are changing your program or university. To be eligible, at least 15 ECTS credits from previous achievements must be recognized.
