Admission Requirements

University degree
Successful applicants hold a university degree in Logistics, Production & Logistics or Business Administration with a specialization in Logistics (programs offered at TH Köln) or have graduated from a comparable program with a Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Engineering/Science/Arts) or higher. The minimum required grade is 2.3 (German grading system). The examination board is charged with the decision whether a program from another institution is deemed suitable. The degree must be worth at least 210 credits and include contents from the field of logistics worth at least 30 credits.

Information on Suitability Assessment

Applicants who graduated from a 6-semester Bachelor's program (180 credits) may enroll on the condition that they acquire additional 30 credits while enrolled in the Master's program.

Applicants who have not graduated yet may apply if they can provide evidence, at the time of application, that

- they are 30 credits (or less) away from graduating (i.e. that they have at least 150 of 180 credits in a 6-semester program or 180 of 210 credits in a 7-semester program).
- their current grade average is 2.3 or better (German grading system).

Applicants with degrees obtained outside of Germany please consider the information on admission requirements and German language skills.

English and German language proficiency
Applicants need to submit evidence of their English language proficiency on at least B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Supporting documents are to be submitted by the re-registration deadline for the second semester at the latest.

Additionally, all applicants who obtained their higher education entrance qualification from an institution where the language of instruction is not German need to submit proof that they have passed the German Language Proficiency Test for Admission of International Students (DSH - level 2).

a) Application process for
- German applicants
- applicants with a first-cycle degree in a field related to the Master’s program from a German university

Applications are submitted through TH Köln's campus management system (CaMS).

b) Application process for
- international applicants without a first-cycle degree from a German university but with a first-cycle degree in a field related to the Master’s program from a university outside of Germany

You are required to apply through uni-assist.

Application for admission to an advanced semester

It is possible to apply for admission to an advanced semester, particularly if you are changing your program or university. To be eligible, at least 15 ECTS credits from previous achievements must be recognized.

Application period

- Mid-February until March 15 of each year for the summer semester
- Mid-August until September 15 of each year for the winter semester

Admission restrictions

This program has admission restrictions for the 2nd and 3rd semester.

Admission to the program is only possible if places become available within the specified capacity limit.
Applications are only possible for the subject-related semesters offered in the respective semester/term:
- in the summer semester for the 3rd subject-related semester and
- in the winter semester for the 2nd subject-related semester.
