Admission requirements

University degree
Successful applicants hold university degree (Bachelor's degree, Diplom, Magister, Master's degree or an equivalent degree).

Applicants with degrees obtained outside of Germany, please consider the information on admission requirements and German language skills.

Additional requirements

- at least 12 months professional experience in a related field
- English language skills at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

- German applicants

After you have passed the aptitude test, you can submit an
online application to TH Köln:

Applicants who have passed the aptitude test submit their application through TH Köln's campus management system (CaMS):

b) Application process for
- international applicants without a first-cycle degree from a German university but with a first-cycle degree in a field related to the Master’s program from a university outside of Germany.

Application for admission to an advanced semester

It is possible to apply for admission to an advanced semester, particularly if you are changing your program or university. To be eligible, at least 15 ECTS credits from previous achievements must be recognized.

Information on the process, requirements and procedure is available on our information page on applying for admission to an advanced semester.

Application period

- Mid-February until March 15 of each year for the summer semester
- Mid-August until September 15 of each year for the winter semester

Admission restrictions

This program has no restrictions for admission to an advanced semester.
