Semester Abroad: Globally Connected from the Start

Want to gain international experience? No problem! In the Finance and Capital Markets program, you have the opportunity to spend a semester at one of our 70+ partner universities worldwide – from Europe and Asia to North and South America.

A semester abroad not only broadens your horizons, but also signals to future employers that you can think globally, adapt to new environments, and take on responsibility – qualities that are especially valued in the financial sector.

A key benefit: Nine of our partner universities offer CFA-accredited degree programs. This not only facilitates the recognition of your coursework abroad but also ensures that your academic progress aligns closely with your studies at TH Köln.

Funding Your Semester Abroad

Don't let budget concerns stand in the way of your international ambitions – there are plenty of funding opportunities available to support you financially. With Erasmus+, you can study at one of our many European partner institutions and receive monthly grants as well as a tuition fee waiver. The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) offers attractive global funding through programs such as HAW.International and PROMOS. Political foundations and other scholarship providers also regularly award grants to committed students.

You’ll find an overview of the most important  funding programs. And if you’re unsure which scholarship best suits your plans, our International Office will support you every step of the way – from your first consultation to your return home.

So nothing stands in the way of your semester abroad – academically or financially.
