Information for students enrolled in part-time programs for professionals

Since the summer semester 2017, students enrolled in part-time programs for professionals (i.e. programs whose schedule allows a full-time employment) are no longer eligible for a semester ticket (Deutschlandticket for students incl. KVB bikes). Exceptions are only possible for students who work less than 20 hours per week. If this applies to you, you have the option to receive a semester ticket by submitting the request "semester ticket for part-time programs for professionals" in CaMS.

These changes are due to the fares conditions of the KVB to which TH Köln's fees system has been adjusted.

This affects all students enrolled in the following programs:

  • Business Information Systems (Bachelor's and Master's program, integrated campus and distance education)
  • Insurance Law
  • Library and Information Science
  • Taxation
  • Web Science

For all students enrolled in one of the programs mentioned above, the semester fee only includes:

  • Administrative fee for Kölner Studierendenwerk and
  • AStA fee
