Information for students enrolled in programs parallel to professional employment

From the summer semester 2017 on, students enrolled in programs parallel to professional employment (i.e. programs whose schedule allows a full-time employment) are no longer eligible for a public transport pass as well as the Nextbike rental bikes. Exceptions are only possible for students who work less than 20 hours/week. If this applies to you, please complete the "Semester Ticket Form" available for download and return it to the Office of Student Services.

These changes are due to the fares conditions of Verkehrsbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) to which TH Köln's fees system has been adjusted.

This affects all students enrolled in the following Advanced Master's programs:

  • Library and Information Science,
  • Insurance Law,
  • Web Science,

as well as all students enrolled in the following programs parallel to professional employment:

  • International Business (Bachelor's program) in co-operation with FOM,
  • Joint degree program in Business Information Systems (Bachelor's and Master's programs).

For all students enrolled in one of the programs mentioned above, the semester fee only includes:

  • Administrative fee for Kölner Studierendenwerk and
  • AStA fee

Tuition fees for Advanced Master's programs

In addition to the (reduced) semester fee, students enrolled in Master's program parallel to professional employment are required to pay the following fees:
