Parking lot at the library closed

Due to ongoing infrastructure construction work and the upcoming preparation of the construction site for Building E (see animation), the parking lot at the library will be permanently closed starting March 23, 2026. The routes for pedestrians and cyclists will remain in place in this area.

Students can use the temporary parking lot in the northeast corner of the Deutz Campus next to Gießener Straße, which serves as an alternative to the library parking lot. Parking spaces for staff remain available in the northwest parking lot and at the parking deck. A detailed description of how to enter and exit the parking lots can be found on the interactive map.

Access for pedestrians to the campus will also be improved. An additional accessible, paved footpath will be constructed by the end of March. It will run from Gießener Straße along the access road to the temporary parking lot in the northeast.
