Here you can find out about opportunities for project funding with partners in the international network on climate change adaptation or with potential strategic partners. All calls for project proposals listed here are part of the “Connecting Dots” project financed by DAAD.

Through the Connecting Dots project, different individual projects can be carried out with selected partner universities in 2025 and 2026. Members of TH Köln can apply for funding to implement their projects by submitting a short project description.

In the current call for proposals, projects with the Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia can be funded.
Professors, academic staff and doctoral candidates at TH Köln are invited to submit project proposals by July 2, 2025 using the form on the right. In principle, the call for project proposals is open to all departments, but the projects must have a clear connection to the focus topic “Climate Change Adaptation”.
Following transformative scientific practices, activities will be transdisciplinary, integrating regional stakeholders into teaching and research to create and share societal knowledge. "Living labs" will be employed, and projects should ideally allow for future university involvement and consider transferability to other contexts. Potential projects include developing (i.e.) shared teaching materials, training courses, and Season School concepts.
Funding will be provided for a one-week trip to the network partner for up to 3 people as part of the project. Due to the financial settlement with the third-party funding provider, the trip must be carried out in 2025.
