Admission Requirements

University degree
Bachelor's, Diplom or Master's degree from a university or university of applied sciences with a final grade of at least "good" (2.5) in the German grading system or equivalent.

If you have not graduated yet, you may still apply for admission if you expect to have graduated by the time the Master's program starts. 

Applicants with foreign degrees obtained outside of Germany please consider the information on admission requirements and German language skills.

English skills
B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Please submit a internationally recognized test result (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS).
GMAT or GRE
GMAT with Minimum score: 500 points
(Applicants are required to submit a copy of their test result with their application.)


OR

GRE with Minimum score: 150 verbal and 150 quantitative
(Applicants are required to submit a copy of their test result with their application.)

Special Admission Requirements

Aptitude test

Proof of having passed the aptitude test.

A managing commission is to determine an applicant's particular aptitude for the program on the basis of:
- in-depth knowledge in the fields of business administration and economics
- intercultural competence and awareness

- excellent English language proficiency

Applicants who have passed the aptitude test may enroll in the following two winter semesters.

a) Application process for
- German applicants
- applicants with a first-cycle degree in a field related to the Master’s program from a German university

Applications are submitted through TH Köln's campus management system (CaMS).

Application period: Early May - June 1, 2024

The Institute of Translation and Multilingual Communication will provide additional information on the aptitude test in June 2024.

b) Application process for
- international applicants without a first-cycle degree from a German university but with a first-cycle degree in a field related to the Master’s program from a university outside of Germany.

Please note: Students from Poland are asked to contact the University of Warsaw and students from North and South America may contact the University of North Florida for application information.
