This course will be offered online. You will be taking part in live sessions via Zoom as well as regular e-learning units on ILU. Those live sessions and e-learning units are dovetailed together in terms of content and methodology and are supplemented by tasks for self-study as well as additional self-learning components.

- E-learning sessions: will be taking place regularly on ILU (8 course units in total)
Textbook
In class a course book will be used that all participants are expected to acquire.

Exam Components
Written exam on-site, cultural studies project with presentation
Regular and active participation in the on-site sessions, completion of homework and e-learning units, including the mid-semester task are prerequisites for admission to the exam.
Written Exam Date
The written exam will take place on-site. The exam usually takes place in the last week of the course. Details will be provided at the start of the course.
Requirements for participation
- You are a student at TH Köln.
- You are prepared to actively engage in all class activities (this also implies turning on the camera during the Zoom sessions).
- Your German language skills are at level A2.1, proven by SLZ placement test (taken within the last two semesters) or by submission of a certificate (not older than two years).
- You have the necessary technical equipment: PC/laptop with camera and microphone, stable internet connection, valid campusID.
This module is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
