Visit of Kanagawa University in Cologne

The president of Kanagawa University in Japan and two other members of the university visited TH Köln during their trip to Cologne to further strengthen the partnership.

On September 5, 2025, Ryusuke Toda, President of Kanagawa University in Japan, visited TH Köln together with Professor Stefan Buchenberger and Yuma Fujita to meet with President Silvia Heuchemer, Professor Roman Bartnik, Professor Michel Müller, and Christina Brey to discuss intensifying the existing partnership. Kanagawa University and TH Köln have a long-standing university-wide partnership with student exchanges in various faculties, as well as the first COIL course held in the summer semester of this year.

The reason for the delegation led by Ryusuke Toda's trip to Cologne was a meeting with Cologne Cathedral master builder Peter Füssenich to jointly inaugurate a gargoyle financed by Kanagawa University (German news report in the Kölner Stadtanzeiger).
