PIONEER Festival 2026: meet European partner universities, gain new insights, discover opportunities
From 2 to 5 November 2026, TH Köln will once again be hosting the PIONEER Festival – a platform for students, lecturers and staff to get to know the European PIONEER Alliance, to network and to jointly develop ideas for the future in research, teaching, academic affairs and collaboration within the Alliance.
The PIONEER Alliance is a network of ten European universities that is breaking new ground through innovative teaching, research and international collaboration. At the PIONEER Festival 2026, you’ll gain insights into the Alliance’s diverse activities, an overview of the opportunities this offers you, and the chance to get actively involved!
Festival highlights:

- PIONEER Information Fair on 3 November 2026 (12 noon–2 pm, Südstadt Campus, Ubierring 48): Personal discussions with colleagues from the nine PIONEER partner universities.
- Virtual events on topics such as international research collaborations, securing external funding or innovative teaching formats (e.g. Challenge-Based Education, COIL).
