Shaping the Future Together: Current Opportunities at the German-Jordanian University
The German-Jordanian University (GJU) is once again inviting participants to take part in events promoting exchange, collaboration, and international mobility. This year’s focus is on German Week, the Future University Conference, and Study Group Mobility.
German Week at the GJU
“German Week 2026,” originally scheduled for May, has been rescheduled and will now take place from November 15 to 19, 2026, at the German-Jordanian University (GJU) in Amman. The GJU’s Office of International Affairs (IAD) once again invites you to participate in this special week.
Under this year’s theme, “Building Bridges. Shaping the Future,” participants can look forward to a diverse program that highlights German-Jordanian cooperation and the German dimension of GJU. GJU students and staff, representatives from German partner universities and organizations in Jordan, and invited guests will come together for academic exchanges, exhibitions, school activities, and various dialogue formats.

Future University Conference
A special highlight of German Week is the German-Jordanian Future University Conference on November 18, 2026. Experts will come together to discuss forward-looking perspectives for higher education and German-Jordanian cooperation.
The conference provides a platform for professional exchange and networking among the GJU, its German partner universities, and other stakeholders. The focus will be on current developments and future prospects for higher education cooperation.

Study Group Mobility
The Study Group Mobility (SGM) offers German partner universities of the GJU the opportunity to further expand their collaboration. The current call for applications is open and runs through November 1, 2026.
As part of the program, students from the GJU and a German partner university work together on an application-oriented academic or research project. The one-semester collaboration takes place primarily online and is supplemented by a one-week in-person phase in Germany or Jordan. Each Study Group is accompanied by one faculty member from each university.
The program is open to students from all disciplines and offers the opportunity to combine international project work, professional exchange, and academic mobility.
