Laboratory for Manufacturing Technology

The focus of the application-oriented research work in the Laboratory for Manufacturing Technology is the development, analysis and optimization of production processes, including tool and plant engineering. Special emphasis is placed on forming manufacturing processes for conventional applications and for microtechnology, the use of numerical simulation methods for the investigation of production processes and system components, and material processing with lasers. The laboratory is equipped with extensive facilities and devices for practical research on production processes and with modern systems for simulation work.
