Automation of Automation
The main field of our research activities is information-oriented automation technology, i.e. beyond the basic automation of technical building equipment, we also deal with the information technology mapping of systems or system components or even buildings in their entirety, but also of people and applications in technical building management. All these participants communicate and interact with each other in complex processes, e.g. in the planning phase of building automation, during operation in energy and asset monitoring applications, in documentation and maintenance management, etc. The current state of the art for the implementation of these interactions is characterized by a complex manual configuration with regard to communication and the semantic meaning of the exchanged information.
This is where our research work comes in: The guiding principle is the automation of automation.
