Industry 4.0 - AAS for pumps

Development of an Industry 4.0 AAS based on the general device profile for pumps (VDMA 24223)
The aim of this project is to standardize an Asset Administration Shell for pumps including a communication connection based on OPC UA. The results of the project work should serve interested member companies as a basic specification for the implementation of an administration shell for their products - standardized in all basic functionalities and expandable with manufacturer-specific functionalities. The project work is based on the general device profile for pumps (VDMA standard sheet 24223), which provides the semantic basis for the asset administration shell. In the first step, the asset administration shell is positioned within RAMI 4.0, i.e. the focus of the standardization work is defined. When developing the AAS, standardization activities in the I4.0 environment must be taken into account, especially when specifying the submodels in the second work package of the project. The third part of the project focuses on the implementation of a communication technology connection with OPC UA. Here, basic software architectures are designed, the feasibility of implementation in embedded servers is evaluated, developed submodels are mapped to basic OPC UA objects and open source stacks are analyzed for prototypical implementation.
