Doctorate
Embark your doctoral journey at the Cologne Lab for Building Automation and Optimization (COLABO) and help shape the future of building automation!
Start your doctorate at the Cologne Lab for Building Automation and Optimization (COLABO): work on cutting-edge research projects and publish your findings in collaboration with leading experts.
The Cologne Lab for Building Automation and Optimization (COLABO) is characterized by a close cooperation between teaching and research. In the bachelor's modules, we teach students both the skills of a practice-oriented engineering education and issues from our research. In the specialization courses, students learn basic methods of information-oriented building automation, which they apply and deepen in their final theses or in modules of the Master's degree course to work on research questions. The results of Master's projects or theses often lead to authorship of a scientific publication. These publications form the basis for doctorates, which we carry out in collaboration with experts from other research institutes. Join COLABO and be at the forefront of innovation in building automation and optimization!
