Research Center “Educational Spaces in Childhood and Family”

The projects and research perspectives of this research center are geared towards childhood both in private spaces and public institutions. In addition to families, these include fields of work in childhood education such as day-care centers, all-day schools, family centers, and professional services of family education as well as extracurricular – particularly aesthetic – educational activities for children.

We develop theoretical approaches and, within the framework of research networks, engage with current issues concerning early childhood education.

Together with students we develop interdisciplinary didactic formats for the degree program “Early Childhood Education and Family Studies”.
