Learning Outcomes:

Working in virtual teams across the globe has become an essential way of collaboration in today’s borderless organisations. Remote and agile working has become the norm. What are the human and technical challenges to be overcome to make the exciting global virtual workplace successful?

This course is based on critical incidents in the life of a remote international project team. It looks at relationship building, remote communication, trust building and conflict resolution – all through the eyes of international team members and a project manager. The impact of different cultural perspectives is also explored.

Methods: Individual and group work, interactive exercises, audio-clips of critical incidents and discussions.

Students are required to be able to express themselves fluently in English Level B2 and above.
