Social change and fast developments in information technology have caused an increasing demand on librarian’s activities and, as a consequence, impose the need for highly qualified personnel in libraries.
The Library Science course in Cologne delivers skills collection, preservation, indexing and provision of information, the design of innovative library services as well as the management of smaller information institutions and the strategic use of information technology.
